Galileo opens Mexico City office to serve growing LatAm fintech market

Galileo Financial Technologies Inc., which backs many fintech and financial institutions, has opened an office in Mexico, reflecting the company’s interest in the Latin American financial market, according to a company press release.

Tory Jackson, the company’s in-country manager for Mexico, has relocated from the firm’s Salt Lake City headquarters to the offices at the Torre Reforma building in the heart of Mexico City’s financial district.

Jackson said that as of May 2019, Mexico was the leading Latin American market for fintech startups with 394 new companies in the sector.

“The Mexican market presents incredible opportunities that our fintech solutions can answer,” Jackson said in a company release. “Our new office is the base to facilitate the success of our local and international partners that are addressing Mexico’s expanding payments needs.”
