Gemini Trust Co., a cryptocurrency exchange led by the Winklevoss brothers, has named Jeremy Ng, former Asia CEO at Leonteq, to head its Asia Pacific business, part of a major regional expansion at the firm.

Gemini Trust will file for a license under the new Payment Services Act with the Monetary Authority of Singapore, according to a press release.

“Southeast Asia is an important part of the crypto movement,” Cameron Winklevoss, Gemini Trust president, said in the release. “The Monetary Authority of Singapore has developed thoughtful regulation that is paving the way for further adoption and innovation.”
