Health beauty retailer taps NCR for faster checkout, simpler store operations

Kruidvat, which is part of the A.S. Watson Group that operates over 1,200 retail stores in Belgium and the Netherlands, is deploying NCR’s Next Generation Retail Store Architecture, including self-checkout software, services and hardware, for faster customer checkout.

The technology, according to a press release, will also offer Kruidvat’s customers a more efficient check-out experience.

“As the market-leading drugstore in the Netherlands and one of the best-known in Belgium, our customers look to us for a superior experience,” Casper Oosterman, project manager sales operations, at Kruidvat, said in the release. “NCR helps us remain competitive and provide a safer checkout process for our customers and staff in the light of the current pandemic.”

Kruidvat is a health and beauty store that also offers fashion accessories, textile products, CDs, toys, decorative household items and photo services.
