The current fintech growth seen to date is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of its potential, as more central banks are recognising ways of developing it. Helping fintechs in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and ASEAN markets,  Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the city’s de facto central bank, has introduced the strategy of “Fintech 2025” to facilitate growth as well as enhance the digital transformation of the financial industry. The strategy also encourages co-creation in the fintech ecosystem and further expands the fintech workforce in Hong Kong.
