PagoFX, the international money transfer service from Santander, has announced it has added the Indian rupee to its list of currencies. Sending money from the UK to India can often be time-consuming and expensive, however, PagoFX now provides fast, low-cost and secure international money transfers when sending GBP to INR.
“Since PagoFX launched in the UK in April, we’ve received many requests from British Indians and ex-pats seeking an easy, secure and great value way to send money home to India,” said PagoFX chief executive Cedric Menager.
“Today, I’m happy to say we’ve achieved this, and invite anyone looking to send money to India, whether you’re a Santander UK customer or not, to try our service and see the difference PagoFX can make when you’re sending your money to India.”
For a low fee of 0.8%, and the real-time mid-market exchange rate at the time of your transfer, the recipient in India can get their money the next day if the transfer was made by 8pm GMT the night before. First-time PagoFX customers can also send up to £1,000 with no fees by taking advantage of its no-fee programme, which runs until 15 January 2021.
PaygoFX was launched in April 2020 and is currently available to UK residents through a mobile app, available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
India is the latest country to be added to PagoFX’s growing list of destinations you can send money to from the UK, with more planned to be added before the end of the year.
